Partner Sarah Marmor offered insights about 4 Questions Employers Should Ask About Trump Plans in a recent Law360 article. Marmor, along with other employment lawyers, weighed in on a number of pressing issues that could impact employment law, ranging from changes in enforcement efforts to potential reversal of pending and recently established regulations.
“There will not necessarily be a sea change in employment law,” Marmor said. “The shift will be in smaller, technical issues that may not be high on the radar of the general public but that management attorneys watch closely.” The impact on businesses of changing regulations for which companies already had prepared also could limit the extent to which reversals will be pursued: “Lots of employers have spent many months preparing for the changes. American businesses have already adjusted [to the new rules], and an unraveling of that within large organizations would be substantial and costly.”
